I believe wholeheartedly that our bodies were designed with the ability to heal themselves. I believe that we find ourselves sick or developing diseases when we NEGLECT our SELF CARE. Self care is not just eating healthy and exercise.
Self-care is holding ourselves accountable and taking care of ourselves emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, environmentally, occupationally, socially, and physically.
Emotionally: breathe deeply to manage your emotions, think through them logically or talk out loud about your feelings, you are not owned by your emotions, do not bury emotions instead release them, set healthy boundaries
Intellectually: Read, YouTube something that interests you, learn something new
Environmentally: Go hiking, gardening, recycling, open the windows and air out your home, exchange household products for chemical free ones or make your own
Occupational: Quit your bad job! Money does NOT equal happiness (it's an inside job)! Experience new jobs or something you're passionate about.
Socially: Join and cause, take a class, spend quality time with people
Physically: Do yoga, get a massage, take a detox bath, pamper yourself, drink lots of water or herbal tea, switch out hygiene products for chemical free products or make your own. (Many products today have hormone disruptors and other nasty side effects that build over time.) And of course, the cleaner you eat the better you'll feel. Food is fuel for your body. And take quality probiotics! Your gut health impacts everything else!
Spiritually: Reflect on why you act the way you do or why you do things that you do, practice ho'oponopono, practice mindfulness, go to a spiritual event, spend time in nature, meditate, journal, pray, listen to 432hz music.
